My Autum/Winter Nail Varnish Picks

Well hello Amigos and today I have another autumn winter themed blog post for you. this time just showing you what to wear on your nails (is that a thing?) These are my favorite 5 nail varnishes to wear this seasons they all are nice warm colours that go with a lot and suit a lot of skin tones basically they're very durable.

Firstly we have Dining Alfresco by Opi, i received this as a present last Christmas Opi nail polish is usually a bit out of my budget although I love their nail varnish and think the long lasting power and shape of the brush are two nice features that mean you may want to spend more. This is a really nice warm shade of blue with a metallic touch so that it can be worn before and after Christmas.

Secondly is No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in Highland Mist, this is a great neutral colour if you don't want anything to bold. Its a nice shimmery pink/brown colour but works well when worn. i picked this up at a car boot sale for a £1 but retails at around £6.

The next colour is probably my favorite one for specifically autumn just because of the warm crisp orange colour it has to it.The colour is ignite by Revlon and i also received this as part of a Christmas present but I will look up full prices for you and leave them below.

The next nail varnish is raspberry by Barry M, This is my must have nail varnish for all year round i love the pinkish red of this nail varnish and think its suits and compliments many outfits and skin tones.

This last one is my favorite kind of blue a deep turquoise or as the label says Cobalt Blue by Max Factor (Glossfinty).I really like the MaxFactor Glossfinity range as when it says lasts up to 7 days it honestly doesn't disappoint so this is a great autumn nail varnish if you cant be bothered to change your nails to often but don't want them looking really scruffy.

What are your favourtie nail varnishes for this A/W?

How to: Autum

So the season is here where the weather again turns cold and blanket sales go up.  So I thought I would create a step by step guide on how to make yourself the comfy and cosy in the cold months ahead of us.

1. Make sure you have a good relaxed work space for school or not you want somewhere you can work without getting really stressed out. I find a good way to do this is to have it quite tidy. I have put all my pens into a case so there easy to access but still tidy (I bought this from a shop on Asos marketplace called The South North Collection). The candles on my desk are Honey Glow by Yankee Candle and Fresh Citrus and Ginger from Primark.

2. Have a nice big mug! and i personally feel this is an essential because having an amazing mug that you can wrap your hands around with a hot drink inside is close to heaven when you come in on a cold day. As a British person I do follow the stereotype of drinking tea (English breakfast) but if your not a tea drinker or prefer a healthier option there are many herbal teas (I recommend Yogi teas) or many varieties on hot chocolate or of course coffee. hmm... I think I just rambled about how drinks
Ps. The mug is £6.50 in Cath Kidston

3. Get yourself a good woolly hat as well as a scarf and gloves. This is the hat that I have been wanting for the coming cold months which is £14 in Topshop and also comes in Black, Burgundy and Camel. A woolly hat always makes winter for me as it helps control bad hair days while keeping your head and ears toasty warm.

 4. Get a new show to binge watch. We all have those days where nothing can be done we just need some time alone with the TV and what better than to pick up box sets of some of your favorite shows.I bought these 4 seasons of Merlin for £15 in my local Oxfam shop. Another good way of getting them cheap is through amazon or a second hand DVD/Video Game store called Cex.

Review: bareMinerals Get Started Kit

So I picked up the bareMinerals Get Started Kit from a Feel Unique physical shop instead of the usual website. I had been recommended this brand of cosmetics from several different people because of the mineral pigments the products are very good for your skin and continued use of the products can help fix and repair skin. I picked this box up for around £40 but the price seems to vary a lot. This may seem on the expensive side but the overall products inside are worth over £108 RRP. This kit is the perfect thing for somebody just getting in to make up especially teenagers. In the kit you are provided with 3 different brushes, primer, 2 foundations, a bronzer and a mineral veil to help protect your make up. Also the kit includes a DVD that shows the basic foundation skills but I would recommend going to a physical shop where they sell bareMinerals products as you can usually get an actual person to run you through the kit and how to apply the make up. Also I received around 4 free samples when purchasing the product. So overall I have to say I am very happy with the price and product.

In the photo below is the products given (minus the DVD):
1. Full Flawless Face Brush
2. flawless Application Brush
3. Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush
4. Prime Time Primer
5. Bronzer in Warmth
6. Mineral Foundation in Light
7. Mineral Foundation in Fairly Light
8. Mineral Veil
