Thrift Haul

I have recently seemed to have amazing luck when thrifting at car boots and charity shops recently. I picked so much up that I started to feel like I had a slight problem. I find it really interesting reading about what people have bought from car boots or charity shops even american thrift shop hauls have become a real obsession of mine. So I thought I would share with you what I bought of late. Please comment below if you would like to see more of these :)

So firstly I went to a huge carboot sale in Norfolk which I can find the name of if anybody wants. They has almost 200 sellers there and I always seem to find some really nice gems. Here's what I picked up...

Firstly I found this really nice vintage paisley scarf. I don't quite know how I will wear it yet but maybe as a hair turban or attached to one of my bags. It cost me 50p.

I got this really nice Lantern for 50p which I am planning to put a candle in.
I picked up the first four seasons of breaking bad for £6 which I thought was really good saying how much they would cost new or even at a charity shop.

I bought these four nail varnishes for 50p each and they were all brand new. I got a No7 one in the shade Rose Truffle and two Avon polishes in Opalesce and Sea Breeze.

I picked up this really pretty dress for £1, it was originally from Primark so probably didn't cost much more new but it was in brilliant condition and fits perfectly.
I picked up this corduroy burgundy shirt for 50p. You can get these regularly in vintage shops but they cost about £10. It did smell of smoker when I bought it but that faded after the first wash. Apart from the smell the shirt was in great condition.

I absolutely fell in love with this 60's style floral shirt. It cost me £1 and I was so happy have to admit, although I have no idea what brand it is as its label was cut out but the quality seemed like a Topshop number.

I picked this 80s floral shirt up for 50p, it originally came with shoulder pads but I cut them out. It looks great tucked into a denim skirt.

This is a very simple white blouse from Next that i picked up for 50p, I thought it would make a good staple piece in my wardrobe and for 50p I can't complain.

I then picked up this dropped hem striped dress from Topshop. The seller originally wanted £5 for it but I managed to haggle it down to £2. It was brand new with tags when I bought it so the price was a bit more. It looks great on with a denim jacket.
This was one of my its cheap and could be useful purchases... its like a lacey jacket thing that I got for 50p and I probably will wear it once and then give it to a charity shop to be honest but i thought it would be nice in the summer with a floral dress.
This is a mans Primark shirt so not something I would usually pick up but I really liked the colours in the tartan. I will probably wear it with a band t-shirt and some jeans.
This dress is one of my favorite buys. I picked it up for 50p! Its a Chelsea Girl dress and the sleeves are literally the best thing ever they so flared i cant wait to wear it and swish around in it. I am planning to wear it to reading festival this year as its a great piece but I wont feel like I wasted my money if I ruin it.

Then I went to my local charity shops and picked up this golden yellow jumper for about £5. I not only love the colour but the style of the jumper... lets just say if Topshop was selling it I would buy it in 5 different colours.
I picked this shirt up on a website called Vinted that I have been loving at the moment, its a bit like Depop but you can access it online as well as through a phone. I originally saw it in Urban outfitters for about £20 on sale and decided it was too expensive. A few months later I found it for around £10 with shipping so I was happy. It is worth waiting and looking on Vinted or E-bay a few months later and getting a much better price for some clothes.

I picked this crochet cardigan up in a charity shop for about £7, which I thought was a good deal saying they're like £40 on Asos. But this piece will be great for the summer and is very durable.

Finally I picked up this Urban outfitters shirt in the charity shop for £5. It has a really nice shape and fits me really well.

I hope you enjoyed my haul, apologies for the length of it. I also bought a Topshop denim jacket for 50p which I thought was an amazing deal but I forgot to take a photo of it. Would you like me to do a look book with the clothes for summer or a festival? Also if you have any questions about car booting or charity shops please comment below.

My Top 10 Songs: December

So this is a bit of a weird one which I found while spending my life on the internet but this song has a really catchy tune and is quite funny. Defiantly enjoyable to listen to also Rett and Link are just hilarious check out their other videos, my favorites include 'T-shirt Wars' and 'I'm On Vacation'

So this is defiantly my most listened to song this month as I've pretty much had it on repeat constantly. So this is the new track from she and him's new album 'Classics' and it just reminds me of 'baby it's cold outside' which makes it feel a lot more christmas-ey than maybe it is but overall defiantly worth a listen.

So Jamie T is a new band that seemed to appear from nowhere and suddenly many people I know where talking about them. When i heard Zombie I immediately started singing along to this catchy but amazing tune.

So this an old and very famous song from way back in 1973 which I found watching 'That 70s show' on Viva. Its actually a really nice song and has a really nice mood to it (if that makes sense) and a great pyschadellic guitar  in it.

This is the debut song from Mcbusted's self-titled new album. It defiantly brings back childhood songs from Busted, Mcfly and also people like Blink 182 and Green-day.

This is defiantly my all time favorite Christmas song, maybe because its a good song or maybe because you get two drunks insulting each other for part of it but no matter why it wont be denied as an all time Christmas classic.

If you haven't heard this yet then do basically because this new song by Bruno Mars is amazing! I feel like its actually sounds similar to Micheal Jackson and just overall reminds me of an 80s disco song (in a good way though).

This is a really nice relaxing song by Milky Chance, I would definitely give this a listen no reason just listen.

Once again Charlie XCX has shown her controversial side by telling us to all not go to school and break the rules, get high and wrecked but she did it a fun catchy song so not complaints from me.
Charli XCX - Break The Rules

Ben Howard covered this song for BBC Radio 1 live lounge and its pure bliss. Its relaxing and so nice to listen to and if you like that Ben Howard also did an amazing cover of 'Call Me Maybe'.

Glossybox: November 2014

So I have recently signed up to Glossybox for the first time after hearing about it I was really excited to get it because I love surprises and presents and this meant that I could get them all year round not just Christmas and birthdays. Also for £10 a month I thought it was a good deal. So here's what I got in November Glossybox....
OGX - Argan Oil Conditioner
Full size - £3
This Conditioner was great! I always notice with conditioner because the ends of my hair gts so frizzy so I can tell when it works well and I have to admit it works. Although I don't think I will be changing it to my regular it did work well but after a few times of using it I found the effects it had on my hair went away and it re-frizzed erghhh...

H2O+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment
Full size - £27.50
So this is an oil-free gel that delivers deep-hydration and reduces fine lines. Well I cant say much about it reducing fine lines but it does add some moisture to my face but I don't feel as though it does that much especially for the asking price of a full size bottle. although i have only used it a couple of times before so it may take a while to work.

Burt's Bees Lip Shine
One Size £6.99
So I had heard that Burt's Bees had brought out a lip gloss range in several colours which is great because it means its 100% natural. I have had a few Burt's Bees products in the past and all have lived up to expectations. Although i'm not a great lip gloss person because I hate when you hair gets caught on your lips I do quite like this lip gloss its has quite a thick texture which means it lasts a while on the lips. Also the nice dark colour of the lip balm is perfect for the autumn and winter months.

Lollipops Make-up Eye Pencil
One Size - 14 euros = £11
So this eye liner is meant to have Vitamin E in it so that it helps anti-aging although I cant be but skeptical and think how much help an eyeliner would do to help anti aging. Apart from that it does have a nice soft texture to it and does last a long time.

MONU Skincare Soothing Hawaii Facial Oil
Full Size - £26
So first off I just want to say how amazing this smells! its has essential oils from Cardamon, Sandalwood and Lavender so its super calming. I have used this products several times and my verdict is that even though my spots are highly reduced and skin is overall better, any spots I currently have seemed to have inflamed which I find a bit weird. This product is nice to put on the skin and although oil based isnt so oily that it makes you skin feel greasy. I would highly recommend this product especially to a person who isnt prone to spots and just wants an night serum. The card said it could be used both day and night but I find that my skin look oily all day if I put it on in the morning so I only put it on at night.

My Top 10 Songs: November

Joy division are and always will be a truely amazing band that produced great music. Atmosphere is a great song to think to or be upset with just because because it makes you feel is almost atmospheric.

This song is a cover by Sia for the new version of Annie coming out which I am greatly looking forward . But yeah this cover is amaazing and I love Sia's stuff anyway and just think the way she's covered this is great.

So I feel this will defiantly be one of my main songs throughout Christmas because 1. The video is beautiful and actually has Ed Sheeran in for once and 2. The song is just a nice song for all occasions and has me singing along to it every time I hear it even in shops (I'm ashamed of myself sometimes)

This is one of my favourite songs from my childhood and even though The Mamas and Papas brought out their version in 1970 something it is still by far my favourite cover of this song. This is such a nice song to fall asleep to and sing along to aswell.

I found this song by playing an online music quiz because yes I have very little life but I really liked it (well obviously). Its an nice indie track to listen to and I find it especially good for walking down the street to. Is that weird?
So I have to admit this is my guilty pleasure. I really liked the song but then the video came out and made you feel like you got a one on one date with each member of one direction, not many people could complain. I have never been a big fan particularly but I really like their new songs on the album 'Four'.

So if you haven't heard by now theres a NEW HUNGER GAMES film and yes I defiantly got a tad overexcited about it and then came out of the cinema utterly speechless. This song is beutiful and once youve seen the film this song will probally sound better but I wont say anymore than that.
So this is one of thoose songs that get a lot more popular in America than England and therefore never really catches on here even if its a good song but I heard it, Loved it and will recommend it. Its great to listen to and is just a feelgood singalong song.

So this is a bit of a weird one... Its basiclly a cover of Bob Dylan' Mr tambourine Man done in a traditinal indian music style. Weird but good.

So this is the new track from Meghan Trainor and this time shes talking about lying instead of womens size. This track has a slighty more R&B feel to it in my opinion anyway.

What songs are you listening to this month?? tell me in the comments below :)

Brick Lane Photography Day Trip

So yesterday I went to brick lane to take some photos for my art A-level. My topic was urban environment and what better place to get interesting images of urban environment and especially graffiti than Liverpool Street. Liverpool itself is what I would describe as being a workplace but a 5 minute walk from there and you get Spittlefeilds market which is a huge old market full of antique and independent market stalls. Another 5 minutes from there and you reach the area surrounding an din brick lane. Brick lane was originally famous for its curry houses and exotic food after world war 2 but nowadays has more of a mix between curry houses and amazing vintage clothing shops. If you want to pick up a great vintage bargain brick lane is your place with many shops selling clothes for £5-10.
