Why I Love Converse,Where to buy them and My Collection

I love Converse I have to admit. Although they're are many other trainer brands I always seem to come back to Converse. I just think they are some of the most comfortable shoes ever! and look great with many different outfits so defiantly worth investing in a pair of converse. The price Range of Converse can vary a lot. I have found that the best places if you don't want to be spending to much money on converse varies on if you don't mind them being second hand. Many vintage stores sell second hand converse between £15-£25 which is what i would say was the minimum for a pair of converse unless you can pick them up in a charity shop of car boot sale but you can never be sure to find them there. On the other hand if you want a brand new pair of converse most RRP at around £40-£50 but you can get them cheaper through sales, wholesale shops and outlets which are very frequent as the converse brand is so large.

Review: Balance Me 'Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm'

So the other day I picked up Marie Claire magazine in my local newsagent for £2.50 which is a reduced price of the magazine. This month’s Marie Claire came with this Balance Me 'Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm 40ml’ that RRP’s at £10. I thought I would review this product as like me there might be people who have heard of the brand Balance Me but have never actually used their products. When I was looking over the bottle I read the fact that the face balm was 100% natural meaning no funny chemicals. The texture of the balm itself was defiantly a balm rather than a lotion like described. It has a rather waxy sticky texture when applying from the bottle but don’t let this put you off. It is a bit horrible in the sense of applying the balm as I personally find that lotions and potions that need warm water to rinse are always a bit more effort than your usual face cream but in this case I defiantly felt the need for it. The balm had a rather odd smell in the sense it was an oat based product so the smell was a bit undeceive about what it was meant to smell like. Although I didn’t particularly like the texture or smell once I had wiped it off and left it about 10 minutes I straight away felt the difference it had made to my skin. I have now been using it for a few days and am very happy with the results that it has made to my skin. Another factor I would like to point out about this product is that I feel like this product can be used on all skin types because of the natural ingredients even some of the more sensitive skins .Overall I would defiantly recommend this product to people who are finding it hard looking for a good moisturising and cleansing product. I hope this has helped.

That’s all for now folks

Portabello Road Bargain

So the other day I took a day trip to Portobello Road in Notting Hill where there is a huge market stall that runs down the whole road. It starts of as a mainly antique market then merges into a food market but there are some other little stalls and quirky shops around the market. I was close to the end when I noticed a cheap make up stall. I had seen these before but never had been very impressed by them, where as this one had a huge selection of all sorts of nail varnish and other types of makeup. They had a very mixed selection and there were two selections some bottles priced at £1 which were the unknown brands that looked a bit cheaper or more high street brands which were cheap anyway. Then I realised in the £2 box there were a mixture of Nails Inc, Ciaté and most importantly OPI nail varnish. They were obviously the colours that didn’t sell as well as there weren’t many of the normal colours by that I mean a more matte nail varnish. They were mostly whites, really dark shades, crackle or metallic. I picked up three of the metallic ones as the woman who owned the stall gave them to me 3 for £5. I bought the colours 'Call Me Classy', Jade In The Shade' and Grant My Wish'. Also I was worried that they weren’t genuine products but from the colour range and the brushes and quality of the nail varnish on my nails they seem to be pretty real. I would just like to say as well OPI nail varnishes usually RRP around £11 a bottle so I got a £28 discount on these which I can’t argue with. There are many of these stalls from what I’ve seen but as there usually quite messy and everything is just chucked together it’s hard to see the gems hidden underneath. There are also many good and high quality charity shops in the little off streets of Portobello road one which even had some Vivienne Westwood boots for around £20.

I hoped this help because it defiantly made me realise that paying full price for OPI is now pointless and if there is certain colour you want most of them are on sale on amazon and other websites for around £5-£6.

Thats all for now folks

My First Time

This is my first time writing a blog like this by that I mean beauty. I have done other things but they have failed mainly because I haven't been enthused enough. Basically I have started this blog to share with you mainly my purchases which might sound a bit strange but ever since I was small I have always been a big one for picking up a bargain and also just for fun to be honest. Today's post is my first one and I probably haven't picked a great first post idea but I hope you enjoy it. So have picked up a few more beauty items recently and I thought I would share and review them. Firstly I have bought this really cute wash-bag from Primark for £4. It is a very large size so can fit a lot in and the material is like a plastic leather which means it’s easy to wipe stuff of it if need be. Also I have bought a few beauty items that I thought I would review. First of these is the Cowshed 'Grumpy Cow uplifting body lotion'. Although I have got mine free from a magazine I picked up a few months ago you can buy the bottle for around £10. Magazines are a great way to try out new and slightly more expensive products as the magazine usually costs around £3-£4 and the freebie products are like worth around £10-£15. Anyway... back to the review part I would highly recommend this body lotion as it smells great and is really moisturizing and you can’t ask for much more than that from a body lotion. The only one thing I would say though is it has one of those annoying bottle tops which means you have to either get your finger in the bottle sometimes getting it stuck or violently hitting the bottle and if you don’t quite understand what I mean think of those glass ketchup bottles that you can never get the last bit of ketchup out of. Next I will do both body shop products together and as you can see I really like the tea tree label from body shop. The foaming Cleanser works really well and lasts a long time and is easy to use. The anti-septic properties in the tea tree means it is great for tackling spots and oily skin which like me many other high hormone suffering teenagers are put through. Also the 'Flawless BB Cream' is similar in the act of the tea tree but is also meant to be a foundation or tinted moisturizer. While it does do what it says it does and gives a tinted cover to help reduce and cover your spots I don't like the fact it only comes in 3 shades or me that makes it difficult to wear as i was in between shade 1& 2 the shade 2 i bought simply just makes my skin look orange. Finally I would like to mention Batiste 'Oriental' and although it doesn't need a lot of explaining as batiste is such a well recommend product I will just say that the Oriental edition although not the best smelling one out of the them has a very cute and pretty bottle and by the way apologies for this post being so long next time will be shorter and if you have read up till now you get an imaginary gold sticker from me!

Well that's all folks...
